INTRODUCTION & DEFINITIONS

Your-privacy-is-our-business. Biqe-digitizing.com and biqe-digitaliseren.nl (part of BIQE VOF) have established this cookie and privacy policy to inform you about the cookies it places on its websites and about the processing of personal data of registered and non-registered users of the Services of BIQE VOF, in this document also referred to as “BIQE”.

BIQE VOF processes personal data (Chamber of Commerce number 69268916).

BIQE services are defined as all current and future electronic or digital services that BIQE offers, such as its (mobile) website bike-digitizing.com / biqe-digitaliseren.nl, web shops, all digital applications, digital news services (such as newsletters) and archives, as well as all subscriptions it offers (such as software update subscriptions), which are used by natural or legal persons or where natural persons or legal persons subscribed to (hereafter: “services”).

Relationships (hereafter: “relationships”) should be understood to mean (i) all natural persons and organisations that purchase and have paid and unpaid services from BIQE and (ii) all natural persons and organisations that use one of the contact channels (telephone, e-mail, letter post, website, account manager) and have shared data with BIQE.

 

COOKIE POLICY

Websites use helpful techniques to increase ease of use and make the sites as enjoyable as possible for every visitor. BIQE uses cookies on its websites as part of its services. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer’s hard disk or memory.

This cookie policy applies to all websites and applications of BIQE mentioned in this document. BIQE thinks it’s essential that you know which cookies are used on the website and for what purposes that happens:

 

  • Functional cookies:
    Cookies are necessary for BIQE’s services to function. For example, BIQE uses these cookies to enable logging in to websites or remembering settings on the page.
  • Analytical cookies (anonymised):
    Cookies that analyse the use of BIQE.biz so that we can improve the quality and effectiveness of the website. BIQE uses these anonymised cookies to see how often and how long (pages of) its websites are visited, from which website (s) users come and in which order users visit the different pages of its websites.
    BIQE uses Google Inc. (‘Google’) ‘s Google Analytics services to receive information about website use. BIQE always anonymises data from analytical cookies before sharing them with Google Analytics. However, we passed the IP address to Google Analytics. See “Tracking cookies” below.
  • Tracking cookies:
    With your permission, BIQE and third parties collect information via cookies about using the BIQE website and users’ interests. Cookies are explicitly not used to adjust ads to users’ interests.
    BIQE uses tracking cookies only with users’ permission to maintain personalised statistics via Google Analytics. We do not store IP addresses anonymously within Google Analytics, so we have a good indication of our visitors’ location (to place name).
  • Social Media cookies:
    With your permission, personalised social media cookies on the website can be placed on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and Vimeo. These cookies ensure that users of the services can directly share the content of the BIQE website with others via social media.
    BIQE does not influence this and refers for more information to the statements that these social media parties provide on their websites: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and Vimeo.

 

We use YouTube and Vimeo’s embedding. These two parties also collect information about viewing behaviour when users view these videos through their websites. We do not embed them in privacy mode.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

The (personal) details of relationships are treated and secured with the utmost care by BIQE. We collect and process user information, including personal data, for the following purposes:

  1. the offering and execution of services
  2. to comply with the laws and regulations that apply to it
  3. managing the user accounts
  4. improving its services by, for example, showing relevant, personalised articles and newsletters to our relations. Their preferences and interests
  5. carrying out research/analysis and compiling management information to improve its services by, for example, analysing which services are best / least assessed and most / least used
  6. sending it by email or on a website displaying a (personalised) offer, newsletter, user information, service message or other electronic message.

 

What data is processed

The data (including personal data) processed by BIQE can be divided into three categories:

  1. Information provided by relations to deliver the service to which it subscribes, such as name, address and city, e-mail address, telephone number, and bank account number. Processing of these data is necessary to deliver the purchased services.
  2. Derived data: we obtain data through the use of our digital services (website, newsletters), such as device data, articles read, location of reading (in this at the municipality level), clicks on text links and advertisements, as well as data on the use of a platform, time, read topics and clicks. This data is only processed with the consent of users (see also the chapter “Cookie Policy”)
  3. Data resulting from the incidental contact that relations have with one of our contact channels (telephone, email, letter post, website, account manager, etc ..), such as notes of conversations, customer questions, complaints and participation in research. This contact can be initiated by relationships and by BIQE itself.
    Storage & security of data
    The collected data is stored in various source systems of BIQE, its website database, or the earlier indicated third parties. The data will not be used for lending, renting, selling, or otherwise disclosing.

 

Third-party websites

When you click on an internet link in one of the services that leads you to a third-party website, you leave the BIQE service. The terms and conditions of use and this cookie and privacy policy of BIQE do not apply to the use of third-party websites; different conditions apply. BIQE is in no way responsible for the use of third-party websites.

 

Engaging third parties

BIQE can use the services of third parties to execute and exploit the services, such as carrying out website-related services. These third parties may have access to your data. BIQE will oblige these third parties not to disclose your personal information except to the extent necessary for executing the services.

 

Transfer other countries

In countries outside the European Union (from now on, “the EU”), the same protection is not always offered to your data as in countries within the EU. However, sometimes it may be necessary for BIQE to pass on your data to those countries, for example, because the (servers of the) companies are located there that support it or are engaged by it in the execution of the services. BIQE is entitled to transfer your data – to implement the services – to countries outside the EU.

 

Age

You guarantee BIQE that all information you provide is correct and complete and that you are 16 or older. If you are younger than 16, you must first request permission from your parents/guardian before using the Services. By agreeing to this cookie and privacy policy, you would like to warrant that you are 16 or older or have obtained the consent referred to here.

Here, you can leave your email and receive an email within a few minutes. You can request a list of where your information is stored on our website (provided you use the same device and browser as you used to ask). You can then request to anonymise your information. We will process this request as soon as possible, and if this is done, you will get confirmation by email.

It is also possible to send an e-mail to info@biqe.biz, stating ‘privacy’. At your request, BIQE will (have) corrected and supplemented your details if these prove to be incorrect and incomplete. At the same time, BIQE will (at your request) delete your data if your data proves to be irrelevant for the processing, unless and insofar as the law requires us to keep the relevant personal data or (other) urgent reasons that oppose removal.

 

Change data & privacy policy.

BIQE’s cookie and privacy policy may be extended or changed. Therefore, it is helpful to consult this policy and BIQE’s related cookie policy regularly.
